A key witness of the most important political events of South America and the Caribbean from the 50's to the 90's, a New Zealand journalist has written more than 50 books about his experiences.  Having falling in love with Haiti and his Haitian wife, he continues, at 90, to write about Haiti and its present history.

Among other things, this 26 minutes documentary tells the story of this man, his friendship with Graham Greene and his controversy with Mario Vargas Llosa.
