This film describes the struggle of the Haitian people for its freedom, from Christopher Columbus to Jean-Claude Duvalier. Historical figures, such as Rodolphe Moise, Ulrick Jolly, Justin Castera (all now deceased) call for unity in order to rebuild the country. It received a special award at the 1st festival of the new Latin-American cinema.
